Favorite Sunscreens

Follow on Bloglovin

This year I did some serious research on sunscreen. You’re welcome. In the past, I just bought whatever I happened to walk by at Target and called it day. Not anymore, noo sister! I searched, read reviews and searched some more. Here’s what I found.

For the face:

Babo botanical clear zinc sport stick.

This has 20% zinc oxide and goes on CLEAR! Do you know what this means people?? No more ghostly white faces! Thank you Babo Botanical!

Face and body:

Thinkbaby Safe Sunscreen SPF 50+.

This is the top selling sunscreen on Amazon. I think that pretty much speaks for itself…

Spray on: …

You know, for us lazy folks 😉

Babyganics Mineral-Based Sunscreen Spray SPF 50.

Lastly, let’s not forget about our lips!

Jane Iredale Lip Drink SPF 15

I have been using these sunscreens now for over a month and love them all! If you already have a favorite, great! Feel free to share :). If you’re on the market for something new, give one (or all) of these a try! Did you know the sun is the number one cause of aging? Yikes! And let’s not forget the most important reason we use sunscreen. Cancer. So, slather it on and have a safe and fantastic summer! 😉

Note: My makeup also has sunscreen added. On top of that, and the products I listed above, I use this everyday on my face prior to applying makeup.

Favorite Things Party – Nail Polish

Follow on Bloglovin

For this months favorite things party, the topic is nail polish, and I just couldn’t pass it up. Why? Because i’m a nail polish hoarder. Like big time…it’s bad. I have several different nail polishes (and the majority of them all look pretty much the same. 😉 You see, I’m in the beauty industry and I have this little perk of being able to go to professional beauty supply stores where I can get my nail polish fix (for half price) 😉 It really doesn’t help my problem…

I have quite a few favorites as you can imagine. I only brands I buy are OPI and Essie with OPI being my top favorite. I feel like Essie tends to streak some depending on the color, and doesn’t last quite as long as OPI. This never happens with OPI and the texture always seems to be creamier to me. I probably own somewhere in the range of 50-75 bottles of polish (sad I know) but today i’m going to share my most worn, very, VERY, VERY, favorites to cover you through all the seasons! :)

1.CND – Sticky base coat

Best. Base. Coat. Ever.

2. Essie- Meet me at the altar

This color is currently on my toes. It’s just so fresh and clean and a nice change from my winter colors!

3. Essie- Fuji

4. OPI- Shorts Story

This is the best pink ever! It’s a blue based undertone which makes it a cooler pink and they are always my favorites! This is my summer go to color for my toes!

5. OPI – Kiss me on my tulips

I know this color looks pretty similar to the one above; however, this is a darker pink. Just clearing up any confusion. 😉

6. OPI – My auntie drinks chianti

7. OPI – The Thrill Of Brazil

This is the red of all reds and I love it! Everyone needs to have a classic red!

8. OPI – Lincoln Park After Dark

And lastly…

9. Seche Vite – Dry fast top coat

This top coat is the bomb digity. I promise. Buy this!

Well that was fun!

Hopefully you found something new that you will love just as I do! Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy your Monday!

Friday Fridays

Happy Friday!

You know how some weeks go by and your like, WHAT, it’s Friday already?!?

Yeah…it hasn’t been that kind of week for me. On Sunday, I came down with a cold, and listen, I haven’t had a cold in probably close to a year and this cold has kicked my butt! When I said mama wants a sick day, I didn’t actually mean a “real” sick day. You know…the other kind of sick day. 😉

Since it is Friday, let’s talk about my favorites from the week. K? K.

If you know me, you know how much I LOVE these little itty bitty eggs of sweetness. I look forward to them each and every year and usually end up eating way too many.

So far, this little handful has been all i’ve had. Sad, I know. Believe me when I say it’s taken every bit of my self control not to go eat the two packs the Easter Bunny is bringing for my boys. 😉

Dresses, dresses, and more dresses…

I am way late getting Easter clothes this year. Not my usual MO. I stopped into Gymboree the other day (with fingers crossed) that the dresses weren’t all picked through. And to my surprise, they weren’t! And even better? The entire store was $14.99 and under! In that case… i’ll take two. And I did. She may be wearing a few of these dresses for a couple years. 😉

(Confession, I may or may not be a kid clothes hoarder. I’ll let you guess).

How cute are these dresses?!?

My homegirl turned 7 months old yesterday and I got a few sweet little pictures. Serious… but still sweet all the same. :)

That’s it for this week! Thanks for joining me and have a great weekend!
